Cathodic Survey Solutions
Accurate, Compliant, and Data-Driven

We deliver a full range of cathodic protection surveys designed to meet all regulatory and operational requirements including Annual Compliance Surveys, Close Interval Surveys (CIS), DCVG, ACVG, and Rectifier Monitoring Programs.

Annual Regulatory Compliance Surveys

Defect Mapping & Overline Surveys

Close Interval Surveys (CIS)

CIS is the gold standard for identifying protection deficiencies at a granular level. Our crews collect high-resolution pipe-to-soil potentials along the entire ROW to detect areas of under or over-protection that annual surveys may miss. CIS surveys provide high-resolution data along the entire pipeline length, identifies coating issues and stray current influence, enables targeted remediation planning, and is integrated with GPS and GIS outputs.

Direct Current Voltage Gradient Surveys (DCVG)

DCVG is a proven technique to locate and size coating defects on cathodically protected pipelines. We use specialized probes to detect voltage gradients in the soil, helping you prioritize digs based on actual defect severity. DCVG surveys provide accurate defect location and severity estimation, supports targeted dig programs, is a non-intrusive and safe for in-service pipeline assessment technique, and validates previous integrity assessment provided by in-line inspection tools.

Alternating Current Voltage Gradient Surveys (ACVG)

ACVG is used to detect and pinpoint coating holidays, particularly where DC methods are less effective. It provides sharp defect resolution, making it ideal for challenging terrain or deeper pipelines. ACVG surveys provide excellent spatial resolution for coating defect detection, and is ideal for congested or high-interference environments. ACVG is typically used alongside DCVG surveys for full diagnostic coverage.

Rectifier Surveillance & Critical Bond Monitoring

We maintain programs to monitor rectifiers and critical electrical bonds across pipeline systems. Consistent surveillance ensures your cathodic protection systems remain effective and balanced year-round.

  • Early detection of failed units or drifting output

  • Logs for audit trail and maintenance planning

  • Optional remote monitoring integration

  • Supports proactive CP system management
